This weekend I was one of the sponsor’s of Mandeville Soccer Club’s Midnight Madness tournament.  This tournament was a big one and about 200 teams took part.  My marketing team and I had a great weekend and really enjoyed the beautiful cool weather and of course great soccer!  We met a lot of great people too!

Each player at the tournament should have been given a Jared Montz America’s 1st Online Soccer Academy card with a promo code on the back of it good for 45 days FREE in my Online Soccer Academy!  If you didn’t get one then you can sign up for your FREE trial using the promo code JMSCLUBS today by clicking here.

The winner from our free raffle for a 1 year membership in my Online Soccer Academy is Etienne Sequeira!  Congrats!  I will be in touch with how to redeem your free membership.

The winner of the funniest picture with Al da Gator goes to this guy in the picture below!  Emily (my wife) was taking pictures and she called it when it happened and that he would be the winner.  The pose is great, he kept his composure, just enough smile, and I tell you what he might be getting a call from me to model JMS “Believe in it” bracelets!

If this is you be sure and email me at jared@jmsoccer10.com or call me so you can redeem your prize of a $25 promo code to the JM Pro Soccer Shop!

This one would have one 1st place if we had a group competition!  The girl’s face behind Al da Gator is priceless!

Yep, I am two for two signing foreheads at marketing events!  Glad to know I still got it and can continue to “live the dream” of signing foreheads!  Hopefully getting your forehead signed by me becomes the cool thing to do one day!  That would be awesome!! LOL!

These were the girls that made me pay (charitable donation to their soccer club) to have my hair spray painted ORANGE!!  I must admit they did a good job though!!

Notice they got my side burns too!

There are lots more photos from the Midnight Madness Tournament I posted on Facebook.  If you are a Facebook member you can send me a friend request and check them out.  Or even if you are not a member you can click here and still view them.  On Facebook and on my blog page feel free to right click on a picture that is yours and then save it to your computer.  It is free, so have it!  If you have any questions on how to do it you can email me at jared@jmsoccer10.com.

Thanks again Mandeville Soccer Club, Midnight Madness, and everyone we met over the weekend!!  My marketing team and I had a blast!

Is it time for Youth Transfer fees in the US?

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Soccerlens

A friend of mine, L.E. Eisenmenger who writes for SoccerLens and the Examiner wrote a very interesting piece on the idea of youth transfer fees in the US?  The article talks about how youth clubs should be given part of the transfer fee if a player was developed by a youth club, then picked up by an MLS youth club or MLS Academy team, and eventually sold to a foreign club.  Should a youth club get a percentage of the transfer fee MLS receives?

You can read the full article by clicking here.  Give it a read and let me know what you think?  I’d love to know what players, parents, coaches, and fans feel about this topic.

Please feel free to share your thoughts and comments below in the comments section.  Or you can respond to me on Facebook or Twitter.  Also if you want you can respond directly to the author L.E. via twitter.

Thanks to my friend Andrew

Day 75 week 10

Thanks to my friend Andrew Dilluhanty and the rest of the men and women in the military I am able to live my dream! This Saturday I had the honor to have lunch with him and his family in Chicago after his graduation from the US Navy boot camp. His goal is to be a Navy Seal. What he is training for makes my rehab look like a walk in the park!! Anytime I need motivation to get up early in the morning to work out I will think of him being up even earlier putting his life on the line so people like me can play a game for a living.

We were standing outside the restaurant and as everyone was talking a lady walked up and sincerley thanked him for serving our country. It was pretty inspiring to see.

Andrew and I grew up together playing youth soccer for the Mandeville Lakers in Louisiana. There were some fun memories and old soccer stories flying around at lunch. It was a good time.

Next time u need a little extra motivation think of my friend Andrew and what he is doing for this country day in and day out.

Keep living the dream!! JM
