Congratulations to the July Online Soccer Academy players of the month!  July’s winners are Frank Jacobson, Ashley Tinsley and Jenny White.

Frank Jacobson wins it for the Rookies group!  Frank has had a good month prepping for his upcoming fall season.  He is a 6 year old from Salt Lake City, Utah.  He improved his juggling score from two to five!  Proud of you buddy, keep up the good work!

Ashley Tinsley wins it for the Dreamers group!  She is a 12 year old from Virginia Beach, Virgina.  She has had a great month, increased her juggling score and also improved her speed of thought process.  She says she is now checking her shoulders every time she receives a pass!  Nice one Ashley!

Jenny White wins it for the Future Pros group.  Jenny is a 17 year old from Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Jenny’s been training hard this July to get ready to play well in front of college scouts.  Keep up the good work Jenny, it will happen for you!

Congratulations to the June Online Soccer Academy Players of the Month Tanner Thorson, Jud Dodick and Peyton Murin!

Tanner Thorson, pictured above, wins it for the Rookies group!  He is a 5  year old from Raleigh, North Carolina.  He has been very active in the Online Soccer Academy and in my opinion if you are 5 and can balance a ball on your foot you deserve to be Player of the Month for sure!  Congrats Tanner!

Jud Dodick wins it for the Dreamers group!  Jud is a 10 year old from Mandeville, Louisiana.  He beat his juggling record this month with 23!  Congrats Jud, keep working hard brotha!

Peyton Murin wins it for the Future Pros group.  He is 14 year old from Arlington, Tennessee.  He started this month with 123 juggles and finished it with 395.  That’s quite the improvement.  Way to work hard Peyton!  Congrats!

I had a great week in Southern California last week!  Early in the week I was up at the Home Depot Center and had the opportunity to interview Edson Buddle and Sacha Kljestan on our Jared Montz Soccer Podcast.  Then the week finished off with the Beach Soccer Championships in Oceanside.

The tournament was awesome as usual and Al da Gator and I had a blast walking around talking to players and parents about our Online Soccer Academy and College Recruiting Websites.  Plus it was really cool to see a lot of my Online Soccer Academy players from California in person since a few of them were at this tournament.  Above is a video of the Beach Soccer weekend with a bunch of pictures.

Congratulations to the April 2010 Online Soccer Academy Players of the Month!  These awards go to Hayden Przybysz, Sammi Gregory and Michael Swift!

It is never easy to pick Player of the Month awards when you have so many great candidates.  To qualify as an OSA Player of the Month players need to be using the Online Soccer Academy on a regular basis, watching OSA training videos and showing improvement using their game review forms and juggling chart.  This helps me decide who wins each month.  This also helps me decide who is making a big push for the OSA Player of the Year award which includes a $1,000 college scholarship!

Hayden Pryzbysz wins it for the Rookies group!  Hayden is 7 years old from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  It’s spring time up there and you can tell Hayden has been working hard in the nicer weather because he broke his juggling record this month with 8 juggles!

Sammi Gregory wins it for the Dreamers group!  Sammi is a 12 year old from Missouri.  She is an incredibly dedicated player and has that true “Believe in it” attitude.  Her personal game performance in April was excellent!  When she first joined the OSA she was juggling 120 times, now she is at 223!

Michael Swift wins it for the Future Pro’s group!  Michael is a 13 year old from Memphis, Tennessee.  He had a good month.  He started in the OSA with 234 juggles and now he is up to 402.  He also updated his game review forms regularly and showed improvement each week on what he said he needed to work on.  That is the sign of a good pro right there!

So the Columbus Crew’s Jed Zayner has been in a lot of my videos lately but this is the last one for a while.  He was in town for a few days during his Filleo Project New Orleans back in January so I had to take advantage of it and make sure we got a couple of videos in.  Not to common MLS players are hanging out in Louisiana ya know.
