This week’s guest on the Jared Montz Soccer Podcast is Josh Saunders.  Josh is the back up Goalie for the LA Galaxy turned so close to being the hero in the MLS Cup final.  He is a great goalie and rose to the occasion big time when coming on as a sub during the MLS final to make two PK saves in the shootout.  Unfortunately that didn’t prove to be enough and the star studded Galaxy feel to the blue collar Real Salt Lake.

On the podcast Josh and I spoke about how his year went, what it is like to be a back up, the MLS Cup final, the emotions running through him immediately after the MLS cup ended, took some user submitted questions, and we concluded with what lies ahead for his career.  He was an excellent interview and he didn’t hold back talking about MLS Cup.

Thanks for listening to the Jared Montz Soccer Podcast with Josh Saunders.  There is no game to watch Josh play in this weekend because it’s the MLS off season so you are going to have to wait until next season to see him play again.  From the sound of it Josh will be training hard and staying fit to get ready for preseason.  Maybe if you are in LA and have some time you can catch him and the Galaxy in an off season practice at the Home Depot Center.

Kinda cool video Goal.com put together.  Everyone likes action pics!  My question is do they make their own music?

Tough one for Landon.  He makes 90% percent of his PKs and unfortunately for him his miss came in the finals.

Wow, what a final!  For the neutral supporter the game had a lot to it; drama, suspense, and emotion.

I was so sad to see Morales go out early in the game injured.  I saw someone post something on Twitter that Morales crying was a bad look for MLS.  Personally I think that is not true at all!  It just shows how much the game means to him and those are exactly the players you want on your team and in our league.
