Last week on Friday I posted the audio version of the Jared Montz Soccer Podcast with Jean Alexandre from the 2009 MLS Cup Champions Real Salt Lake.  I am really enjoying making podcasts, interviewing players and sharing their stories with my listeners.  The feedback from listeners has been excellent and I am very excited for 2010.  It’s crazy to think the show as only been going a few months!

Something I want to do more of in 2010 is video.  I am playing around with the idea of filming the podcast too so you can not only listen to it on my blog or in iTunes but watch it as well.  It is just another medium for listeners (now watchers) to enjoy the podcast.

The fact of the matter is it doesn’t matter what I think, it matters what you think!  Having said that I would love to know what you think of the video version of the podcast.  Do you like it?  Would you watch it versus listen?  Do you like having the option?  Is the sound good?

On the podcast we talked about his first year as a pro, what it was like going out on loan, his story of MLS Cup, and previewed what lies ahead for him in 2010 and what he is doing to accomplish his goals for next year.

Since this is the last podcast of 2009 and decided to try something extra too and see how it goes.  I filmed a video version of this podcast interview too so be on the look out for that later today or this weekend!  Trying to do like a ESPN radio deal where they film the audio interviews happening.  Might be cool…  I’ll let you decide that!

Becks you are a legend and I love you so no offense to to you or any other Galaxy players, but it’s awesome to see a Lynn University Alumni (my alma mater) standing next to you with the MLS Cup winner’s medal and you came in 2nd!

Confirmed it moments ago.  This week’s guest on the Jared Montz Soccer Podcast is Jean Alexandre.  Jean is a 1st year Rookie for the 2009 MLS Cup Champions Real Salt Lake.  He may not have had the personal season MLS Rookie of the Year candidates did but he is the one wearing an MLS Cup winners medal and collecting what I hope is a nice championship bonus!

First off I apologize for not having this podcast ready on Friday like I normally do.  Last Friday I was experiencing technical difficulties and it took a few days for my web development company to fix.  To those of you that have been waiting for this I apologize for keeping you waiting and thank you for your patience.

Last week’s guest on the Jared Montz Soccer Podcast was Kyle Beckerman.  Kyle is the Captain of the 2009 MLS Cup Champions Real Salt Lake.   He has played a huge part in RSL’s success this season, their excellent playoff run, and of course winning the MLS Cup.

On the podcast we talked about RSL’s playoff run, what it means to be Captain, MLS Cup, took some user submitted questions, and found out what is in store for RSL and Kyle next season.  Kyle shared all and it was really cool to hear what MLS Cup was like for him!
