I normally don’t announce podcasts guests this early but next week’s guest on the Jared Montz Soccer Podcast is Edson Buddle.  Edson plays for the LA Galaxy and he is the most on fire soccer player around right now and he recently won MLS’s April Player of the Month honors.  At the time of this post he has 9 goals and 1 assist in 7 games.  Yep, you read that right!

On the podcast we are going to talk about Edson’s great start to the season, the Galaxy’s great start, his chances of playing in the World Cup, if there are any foreign teams calling, the Edson Buddle foundation, take some user submitted questions and preview their upcoming game.

Manchester United take on A.C. Milan today in 2nd leg Champions League action today.  This will be David Beckham’s homecoming game at Old Trafford.

The game will be live on Fox Soccer Channel at 1:30pm central time.  Who is your pick to win the game?  How do you think David will play on his old stomping grounds?

Yesterday I was on Facebook and scrolling down my homepage when I came across this poll one of the players I coach, Emily Brodt posted on her Facebook page.  She is asking who is the better athlete; Jared Montz or David Beckham?

I was laughing so hard and also felt so cool when I saw it!!  Of course I commented on it and told her thanks but Becks is a legend.  She said, “no problem you taught me much more about soccer than David Beckham!”
