Podcast Interview with Nate Jaqua
A few days ago I had the pleasure of interviewing Seattle Sounders FC starting forward Nate Jaqua. The Sounders are the hottest team in the MLS heading into week 4 of the season. This being my first podcast interview I am very pumped to have such a big guest on!

In the podcast Nate and I talk about what it feels like to play in front of sold out crowds in Seattle, team chemistry, what the owners are doing differently compared to the rest of MLS, an April Fools Rookie prank, and Seattle’s chances of winning MLS Cup. All you need to do is click the play button on the little player below and you should be good to go. The interview is 16 minutes long.

After you hear the story on the podcast of the excellent April Fools joke that got played on the rookies in Seattle be sure and check out the pictures here.
Thanks for listening and I hope you enjoyed it. What do you think of Seattle’s success on and off the field thus far this season? How great was that April Fools joke? Do you think they can win MLS Cup? How many goals do you think Nate will score this year? Please feel free to share your thoughts below in the comments section.

**This was my first podcast. Right now I am not sure how to do it, but I hope to have the Jared Montz Soccer Podcasts set up sometime soon so you can subscribe via itunes. If anyone has any suggestions to help speed up this process feel free to shoot me an email or make a comment in the comments section.

I don’t have any experience with making podcasts, but Jaqua was extremely quiet and hard to hear. You came through okay, but if you could have boosted Jaqua’s level it would have made everything much easier to hear.

CarlosT,
Thanks for the feedback. You and I have something in common b/c I don’t have experience making podcasts either!! All jokes aside. I was using Garageband to record it while I spoke to Nate on speakerphone via Skype. A few people have commented and emailed me about the podcast and no one mentioned anything about volume being an issue. Check and see if the volume was turned up on the podcast player and on your computer.
Please let me know if that was the issue. If it was then problem solved. If it wasn’t a volume issue then I will get back to the drawing board and figure out how to make it louder.
Thanks for your feedback.

I think this guy Jared Montz’s is something worth listening to. These interviews will most definitely be on my weekly to do list before match play….

Jared: Your podcast section needs a download button (next to the play button would be a good place) for those of us who download the podcasts and then transfer them to our iPods. Good luck with the new endeavor!
