Chris Armas to be inducted to “Ring of Fire” Hall of Fame

Tonight, October 22nd, Chris Armas (a Chicago Fire legend) will be inducted into the Fire’s Hall of Fame called the “Ring of Fire”. The presentation will take place tonight when the Fire play Chivas USA at 7pm central time. If you live in the Chicago area do your best to make it out to Bridgeview but if you can’t the game will be live on ESPN2. You can read the full story by clicking here.
I had the honor of being a teammate of Chris’s for 2 years when I was with the Fire. He was a great captain, an even better player, and a 1st class person. He was so positive with everyone and knew how to make those around him play better by leading by example. When you were playing well and earned a compliment from him you instantly felt like you were 6 inches taller. Not very many people have a presence like that. Everyone in the organization respected him and I couldn’t imagine a better guy being inducted tonight.
Below is a tribute video to Chris from the Chicago Fire when he retired.
Personally, Chris I want to thank you for everything you have done for me. I will never forget it.
Congrats on a very successful career! You deserve it. Enjoy your night!
